Hello, Summer!
As summer continues, we're excited about all the activity happening in our parks and throughout the community! From the launch of our summer day camps to new youth and adult sports leagues and exciting park improvement projects, it's a busy season for us.
Take a look at some highlights from the past month --and what's coming up next!

Senior Center Construction Approved by Board of Directors
The Little Rock Board of Directors approved $4.1 million towards renovations and additions to the Centre at University Park to become the new Little rock Senior Center. The soon-to-be transformed space will be an ideal location for senior recreation and community events.

Parks Summer Day Camp Kicks Off
The Parks Summer Day Camp officially kicked off last month at 6 locations, as well as the Summer Laureate program at Southwest Community Center, the Therapeutic Recreation Day Camp at Ottenheimer Therapeutic Recreation Center, and the Jr. Park Ranger Day Camp. Campers are enjoying the beauty of our parks and a wide variety of recreational activities!

Flag Football and Cheerleading Registration is Open
Registration for our Youth Flag Football and Cheerleading programs are now open! Our program is open to ages 3-12, and the cost is $25 per child. The season starts August 12th, and will take place at all Little Rock Community Centers, with games at West Central Community Center, Monday - Thursday at 6 PM.
COOLING CENTERS
Our Community Centers are open to the public as Cooling Centers this summer. Each location below will have a designated area to cool off and receive water and electrolytes. Animals are welcome and will be placed in a temporary kennel.

Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday 8 AM - 8:30 PM
Saturday 9 AM - 5 PM
Sunday 1 PM - 6 PM (Dunbar Only)
