Tommy Forrest Homicide)

At 1:17 p.m., on Wednesday October 30, 2024, northwest patrol officers responded to a suspicious person call for service at 11311 Mara Lynn Road. Officers arrived and discovered 69-year-old Tommy Forrest deceased in a pool of blood. Officers were unable to determine the circumstances surrounding the death; therefore, LRPD Supervisors notified Homicide Detectives. The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly afterwards as detectives began a preliminary investigation. A short time later, detectives secured the scene and obtained a warrant to seize evidence within the home, in order to determine a cause of death.  The Pulaski County Coroner responded and transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and the next of kin was notified.

The investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Northwest Division.
