Little Rock, AR—The Honorable Joseph Ghartey, former Minister of Justice and former Attorney General of the Republic of Ghana, will visit Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. for a welcome reception hosted at the Historic Site Visitor Center. The event is free and open to the public.

As Minister for Justice under the Kufor Administration, Ghartey is keenly aware of the current problems facing his country and will discuss the challenges in his presentation titled, “Strengthening the Human Chain in Race, Education, Economics and Politics in the 21st Century.” He will make brief remarks at approximately 6:00 p.m.

“We are truly honored to host the Honorable Joseph Ghartey at the Historic Site,” said Robin White, Superintendent of the Historic Site. “The National Park Service is proud to have the opportunity to forge and strengthen international relationships with our global neighbors.”

Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site is located at 2120 Daisy L. Gatson Bates Drive, diagonally across the street from Central High School.
