LITTLE ROCK – The City of Little Rock has implemented its inclement weather policy for Wednesday, Feb. 19. All city offices will be closed Wednesday with the exception of essential and emergency services such as police, fire, public works and emergency communications..

Public works teams have been working around the clock to treat and clear the City's primary routes. Once those roads are cleared, crews will move to secondary roads and residential streets.

Since road conditions are dangerous at this time, City of Little Rock sanitation pickup and WM recycling pickup are suspended Wednesday. Collections will resume as soon as conditions improve enough to ensure the safety of team members, motorists and residents.

The City of Little Rock's temporary cold-weather emergency shelter has been mobilized at the Dunbar Community Center, 1001 W. 16th St. The shelter will remain open until further notice to anyone seeking refuge from the extreme cold.
