On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Southwest Patrol Officers responded to a shooting in the 5700 block of Liberty Cove. Upon arrival, officers located an unknown male victim suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. MEMS and RESCUE responded and attempted life-saving measures however, the victim succumbed to injuries at the scene. Officers secured the area and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and identification. The next of kin will be notified pending the outcome.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.

#Update: The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Shun Piggee of Little Rock.

#Update: On Thursday July 11, 2024, Homicide Detectives arrested 22-year-old Larry Xavier Clark of Little Rock, in connection with this homicide.  He has been charged with Capital Murder. The investigation is ongoing.

#Update: A second suspect, 65-year-old Larry Clarke Sr. was taken into custody on August 7, 2024, and charged with Capital Murder. The investigation is ongoing.
