Patrol Officers with the 12th Street Division responded to a shooting call for service at 4415 West 24th Street, just before 3:00 a.m., on Monday, May 19, 2025. When officers arrived, they located 44-year-old Nicole Lambert suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. MEMS and RESCUE responded and performed life-saving measures; however, Ms. Lambert died at the scene. Officers secured the scene and notified Homicide Detectives who responded and began an investigation. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and next of kin was notified.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the 12th Street Division.

#Update: On May 19, 2025, Randy Lee Cunning, 58, of Little Rock, was taken into custody and charged with Capital Murder. This investigation is ongoing.
