On August 24, 2024, at 9:26 p.m., 12^th Street Patrol Officers responded to an assist medical call for service at 1315 Adams Street. Upon arrival, officers located 28-year-old Lashabra Plunkett suffering from an apparent laceration. MEMS responded and transported Ms. Plunkett to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Officers secured the scene and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and next of kin was notified.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. During the course of the investigation, 36-year-old Keith Moore was developed as a suspect. A short time later, he was located and taken into custody without incident and transported to Major Crimes for further investigation. After questioning, Mr. Moore was charged with 1^st Degree Murder. He was then transported to PCRJ without incident. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the 12^th Street Division.
